Small businesses are the heart of our community. Every day, you create local jobs, support families, foster innovation and help make Holt such a vibrant and welcoming place to live.

The Holt Small Business Awards are my way of recognising the dedication and hard work of our local business owners and their staff. These awards celebrate the businesses that go above and beyond, whether through exceptional customer service, innovation, community involvement or leadership.

Getting involved is simple. Display an awards poster in your shopfront and encourage your customers to scan the QR code to submit a nomination before Saturday, 11 April.

Awards will be presented across the following categories:

• New Business — Recognising businesses operating for less than three years.
• Great Customer Service — For businesses or employees who deliver outstanding service.
• Community Contribution — Celebrating businesses that strengthen our community through sponsorships, charity work or local initiatives.
• Innovation and Sustainability — Highlighting businesses embracing new ideas or sustainable practices to create positive environmental or social impact.
• Women in Business — Recognising women who are leading as business owners in Holt.

Businesses must be based within the Commonwealth Electoral Division of Holt to be eligible. 

I know how much effort goes into running a small business, particularly in challenging economic times. These awards are about acknowledging that effort and celebrating your contribution to our local community.
